Spending time with my son was never a difficult concept until he started secondary school. It has become increasingly more difficult to find things that we’ll both enjoy, the gap between us was starting to get increasingly bigger.
This is understandable, I get it. I’d happily sit and build Lego models or do some colouring but my 13-year-old? Not so much anymore. It starts being uncool and embarrassing to spend any time with your parents, especially if it means you look as though you like them!
This is precisely why I wanted to start a YouTube feature with him on my channel. I needed something to engage him in. If he’s not watching YouTube videos he’s talking about them.
We’ve started our YouTube feature off with ‘Sofa Saturdays’. We have a few ‘Would You Rather’ episodes to start off with. I’m sure Christopher will be trying to rope me in to some daft challenges in the near future. I want to build on making it more of a permanent, regular Vlog. One step at a time though. I’m enjoying what we’re doing so far and it’s really nice to spend some time together. He has an excellent sense of humour and some great ideas. I adore the relationship we’ve built and he makes me so proud even if some times I feel like I’m going to throttle him ∞♥
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂
Be happy and keep smiling 😀
