Contrary to popular belief, I love mornings. If I could I would be up at 6 am every morning. It’s a great time of day, it’s always quiet and peaceful. I like to sit and have a cup of tea and do nothing. There really is only me stopping this from happening. There’s no good reason why I can’t be up at 6 am every morning, even on a weekend.
I always love the thought of having a lie in but when I have one I then feel guilty for wasting so much of the morning. That’s pretty much what I’ve done over the Easter weekend though, wasted it by staying in bed too late. I don’t feel like I’ve been productive at all. I don’t think I was out of bed before 11 am on any of those mornings. And where has it got me? Nowhere. I’ve gained nothing from that ‘extra sleep’ because it was not beneficial sleep.
I’ve been looking for new challenges to try each month and challenging myself to get up at 6 am every morning feels like a good one. I don’t think I can commit that to the whole month. Maybe a week to start with and see how that goes.
So here are my 6 am challenge rules for May:
One week, Mon-Fri get up at 6 am.
Weekends up before 8 am.
It’s as simple as that!
That’s the first 7 days of Mays challenge sorted. I just need to think of something for the other 24 days…
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂
Be happy and keep smiling 🙂
