I’m fairly certain that Alexandra Kay is the busiest woman I know. Not only does she work full time at Tesco, Skipton, rallying the troops for fundraising; but also when I contacted her and asked if she would like to feature on my blog she was getting ready to run a Bed and Breakfast for a week! As you do!
Alex’s most recent endeavour was to collect donations for the survivors of the Manchester bombing. The people of Skipton rallied together to collect food, toiletries, clothes and anything else they could think of that that might be helpful.
Skipton Tesco joined forces with Ilkley Tesco to deliver the donations in Manchester and also to lay flowers in memory of the victims.
Alex works tirelessly to help out whoever might be in need, Whether that be by organising a coffee morning, a bake sale, a food drive or a dress up day in store.
Alex’s next event will be a coffee morning in memory of local MP Jo Cox and you’re all welcome to join her 🙂 Coffee Morning in honour of Jo Cox.

It’s such a comfort to know that people like you exist in this world. Thank you Alex, you’re a beautiful person and you make this world a little brighter ♥
Thank you Alex! I don’t even know where you managed to find the time!
1. Describe the colour yellow to a blind person.
The colour yellow is warm like the sun, tastes like lemon curd, smells like daisies, and sounds like buzzy bees.
2. Would you rather live in a beach house, town house or lake house?
I would love to live in a lake house. The countryside fascinates me and the peace and tranquility would be just pure bliss. The views would be a bonus!
3. What can you hear right now?
I can hear the birdies chirping and puppies barking and my fellas mum catching up on neighbours lol
4. Would you volunteer for the Mars One mission?
What’s the Mars One project?
Google god to the rescue …..
No way! I’m claustrophobic I couldn’t be stuck in a space ship … I love home too much I’d rather let someone who knows what they are doing go! And it’s not like you can pop the kettle on and chat to new found life over a nice cup of Yorkshire tea
5. Is this the way to Amarillo?
I don’t know but if you walk in my wardrobe it takes you to Narnia…. a peaceful realm filled with talking animals, fauns, Giants and dwarves that is now under a cursed eternal winter by the villainous White Witch.
6. What colour are your socks?
My socks are odd just like me I have zero hours to be pairing socks up… especially as the washer seems to eat them up.
7. If you could give someone £1,000,000 who would you give it to?
If I had a million pound I would be totally selfish and give it to a few different people for my own benefit
1st being the Land Rover garage for a shiny new Range Rover
2nd Mark from Tesco to get me through my driving lessons so I could actually use it
3rd Jet2 for unlimited flights to a nice villa in Greece
4th A homeowner for a nice 3 bed house
5th TSB bank for a good bank account
Rest to family I suppose just to be nice
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂
Be happy and keep smiling 😀
