Most influential person from my childhood

Whilst growing up, the person who had the most impact on me was probably my Grandad.

He was my hero. He was funny, daft and smart.

He gave the best cuddles and would always offer up a chin pie!

My Grandad would be the first person I’d run to to tell my news from the day and I would go straight to him for cuddles; running up the stairs yelling

We would watch cartoons together with a cup of hot sweet tea and a slab of Nana’s chocolate cake.

He was the happiest man in the world, always ready with a joke.

My Grandad taught me to not take life too seriously, something I forget quite often, and that cartoons are not just for children πŸ˜›

We would spend all day in the garden, eating peas straight from the pod, munching on strawberries, chives and mint leaves. Grandad would dig and I’d pretend to helpΒ β™₯

It was the best time and if heaven exists, I’m fairly sure that’s where he is now. In the garden with Nana Lil by his side ∞

Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.Β

Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,Β

next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing πŸ™‚

Be happy and keep smiling πŸ˜€
