The Law of Attraction is a simple one, basically it says whatever you put out there you will receive back. So if you’re constantly bitter, pessimistic, sad, moany and just generally not a bucket full of sunshine you’re probably going to feel like bad things just always happen to you.
When you’re smiley you will attract smiley, happy people. If someone is smiling at you, you can’t help but return the beam. It will brighten your day and probably make them feel better too.
You can’t fake happiness though and you can’t force it neither. If you’re pretending to be happy that’s not good and will ultimately lead to you feeling worse.
Instead you just need to focus on the little things that might bring a little bit of joy to your day, every day.
Here a few examples of things for me:
- Getting up early, opening the back door and getting that feeling of morning freshness and listening to the birds in the garden.
- Talking to our animals. they all make me smile.
- Getting organised for the day, week ahead.
- The rare moment when my teenager smiles.
- Getting hugs from Chris.
These are all little things that make me genuinely happy. They are easily accessible, free and are there for me to make the most of when the day may be otherwise pretty rubbish, which is something that is obviously going to happen from time to time.
Start to build up your list of things that make you happy, keep it with you to look at when your day takes a turn for the worse and remember, everything is temporary, you won’t be stuck in this trying situation of yours forever.
