Christmas Events

Are you well and truly getting in to the Christmas spirit? Do you already have your tree up? (Are you mad?) Are there chestnuts already roasting on your open fire?

If you’re still feeling like a bit of a Scrooge and you just can’t quite find that Christmas cheer then why not have a look at some Christmas events going on over the next few weeks. They’re great for getting those all important stocking fillers, finding a unique gift for that special someone or just for enjoying the atmosphere and eradicating that inner bah humbug!

Here’s a few Christmassy gatherings that those little elves have been telling me about…

North Pole AdventureΒ at the National Forest Adventure Farm, Tatenhill.

This sounds incredible and although I’ve not visited this specific event I did go to Screamfest here for Halloween and if that is anything to go by then this will be amazing. With a Victorian High Street, an ice cave complete with a Northern Lights display and an interactive animatronic polar bear, this may well be the most awesome sounding Christmas event yet!

Starts: 25th of November 2017 until the 24th of December 2017. (Times and tickets via link).

Leeds German Market

Whilst the German Market may well be associated with drinking lots of beer and forgetting where you’ve left those bags of Christmas presents, there’s so much more for the whole family to enjoy.

They have entertainment with theatre stage shows and children’s activities and even the opportunity to have breakfast with the big man himself, Father Christmas! (Details via the link)

Starts: 10th of November 2017 until the 24th of December 2017 10.30 am – 9.30 pm (7.30 pm on Sundays).

Christmas in Haworth

Haworth can be adored all year round but there’s just something about the home of the Bronte’s at Christmas time, there’s that little bit of extra magic. Haworth village have events running from the 24th of November up until Christmas Eve. From Steampunk to Torchlight, to brass bands and the Nativity, there’s something for everyone. (More info and specific dates via the link).

Starts: 24th November – 24th of December (Events running every weekend between these dates).

Kielder Winter Wonderland

This one does seem rather pricey but it’s a full day event and it really does sound like there are some fantastic things to take part in. You are literally taken on an adventure with Father Christmas, Mrs Christmas and the elves. There’s snow tubing, (I think this may well be as awesome as it sounds) the theatre, ice skating, a gift for adults and children to take home and so much more. (More information and how to book via the link).

Starts: 18th of November to the 20th of December 2017.
