I’m sad to see the end of this year drawing ever closer, as I feel that we have really bonded and now I have to say goodbye.
It’s cool though because I have s**t loads of awesomeness planned for next year and although 2018 won’t kick 2017’s ass, because they’re best buds, it will give it a friendly nod as it sails past on it’s awesome boat made of awesomeness.
I feel I need to list my accomplishments from this last year because they are freaking excellent! Even if I do say so myself…
I published my first book! (To be perfectly honest, that would do for the whole year for me, but there’s more).
I attended the UK Indie Lit Fest as a guest blogger and read some of my poetry out in front of people.
I was invited to speak at Upbeat Lincoln’s first Mental Health awareness event, this was such an inspirational afternoon and I can’t wait for the next one.
I started a YouTube channel with my Mum.
I was on Drystone Radio reading more of my poetry and generally having an amazing time.
And last but my no means least, I was in Panto! I played Belle in Beauty and the Beast and to be honest I’m having withdrawals. I don’t want to wait a whole year until the next one 😦
My plans are already in place for 2018 and I just can’t wait to get going.
- I shall start writing my second book in February, ready to publish in September.
- I will be starting my Reiki training.
- I plan to get 2 books of poetry published before the end of 2018.
- I shall finish my degree, at last!
- Christopher and I will finally get the Yorkshire Three Peaks done.
And this is just the start, hopefully along the way there will be more radio interviews, another UK Indie Lit Fest, the 2nd Upbeat Lincoln’s Mental Health Awareness event and more Panto!
It really has been the most incredible year, I have met some wonderfully inspirational people, been given the opportunity to work alongside exceptionally talented crazy loonies and made some lifelong friends (Yes, we are lifelong friends now, there is no escape).
Thank you to each and every one of you x
Don’t ever let anyone make you think you’re not good enough.
Follow your dreams right now! Don’t wait until tomorrow,
next week, next year. Stop planning, start doing 🙂
